While browsing GeekSugar, one of my new favorite websites, I found something totally rad that I HAVE to share with you guys. I’m a sucker for an awesome, but simple wallpaper. No fancy designs everywhere, just a clean, simple, design. GeekSugar featured a website the other day that fulfilled these neeeeeeds, Simple Desktops! “A collection of desktop wallpapers curated by Tom Watson to make your computer beautiful without distraction.” Exactly what I want!
I couldn’t just possibly choose one, so I chose them all! Well, 59 of them. ^_^ I now have ever-changing wallpaper! Every 5 minutes my wallpaper changes to one of those sleek, simple, designs. Thanksgiving marks Macauly’s one year birthday! It’s been a year since Macauly came in to my life to replace Mac-y Poo (R.I.P. ibook g4!). Macauly, if you haven’t figured it out, is my macbook pro. Normally I wouldn’t remember such a date as a computer’s birthday, but it’s also the deadline to buy Applecare so I kind of have it engrained in my mind. Anyway, for his birthday I decided I would buy him in addition to AppleCare, a decal! I’ve come across some really cool decals on Etsy. I haven’t decided on which one, but here are the one’s I’m choosing between.

Guys! I got a job! *dance* A temporary job, but a job nonetheless! I will be working for Wicked, the musical while it’s in town. Hopefully I’ll get to see the show too! I’ve been meaning to read the books for years now, but never got around to it. I do however know the songs- thanks to former co-workers playing the soundtrack ALL THE TIME when I worked for the newspaper. I have a sort of uniform. In addition to shirts they will provide me with, I have to wear pants/jeans. Weird! I haven’t worn jeans in a looong time. My wardrobe consists of skirts, dresses, cords, slacks, and khakis! I had 2 pair of jeans in the last year, but I rarely wore them and guess what?! I tossed them when I was moving back to the states-I figured I didn’t wear them(and I couldn’t fit everything into 2 suitcases), so why not? Little did I know, I would need them now. Oh well, gave me an excuse to go shopping. I went only for a pair of jeans, and came back with a pair of jeans, some cuuute black mary janes, undies, new sunglasses, and a top. ^_^ I can never just get what I go in for.
In other news, I have decided that I will install windows on Macauly (my mac) at the end of the summer. I’m not a fan of windows operating systems, but I am a fan of gaming! And i’m sick and tired of games I’m interested in playing being released only for windows platforms! bleh! Instead of missing out this time, I will install windows. The game I dont want to miss out on? Aion-The Tower of Eternity ! It’s a massively multiplayer online role-playing game by NCsoft similar to their other games, Lineage and Guild Wars. Oh and also similar to a game I talk about far too much-Blizzard produced, World of Warcraft. ^_^ Today NCsoft announced that Aion would be released in September. After reading about it, seeing the screenshots (Holy crap the graphics are awesome), and reading reviews of the beta players, I am excited and can’t wait. 
My laptop is getting old! It’s time to upgrade. I really want one of the new macbooks.

I think I’ll get one after I move back to the states. That’s right folks. I’m moving back to the states. Not sure when exactly. March or so. Why? well, I can’t stay here forever! You know laws and stuff. I was originally only supposed to stay here for a year. That was the plan. And here I am. Still here a year and a half later. I love Europe, specifically Amsterdam, and I plan on living here again in the future when I can have a proper job and a proper visa. So, the new plan is after my contract is over-go on a huge European tour by bus or train, go back to the states, work/save money while living with the mom (omg, can i do that!?), and nursing school in the fall. Somewhere. Probably Austin,TX because I can get instate tuition and hello?! I have a built in BFF already there.
*sigh* but my plans are ever changing so who knows!? haha
I’ve been knitting this past week. Working on a cranberry ribbed scarf for myself. Isn’t the color pretty?
Hopefully I can finish before Sunday so I can start on another project. Though I’m sure I won’t be paying any attention to knitting, or anything else for that matter, after Friday. Friday is the day when the new World of Warcraft expansion comes out! Wrath of the Lich King. Of course, I’m getting it and will be leveling both my characters to 80! And of course my professions. Can’t wait for the new content. *squeals*
